I’ll take Cats and Roosters Please
When I lived up north Though frenzied and busy Life pushed your buttons It could only make you dizzy The decision I made was absolutely intentional No one understood For me it was so very unconventional I know I was stressed And about to implode No one should ever carry that load What could I do after so many years on “the hill” I could go crazy or take some magic pill So I took a year off for experimentation Some times it was good Oft times self flaggilation But I grew some and played some Tried to put my mind at rest I had to do something To make my last 50 the best I prayed and I prayed And like Quixote I did quest Where did I end up Well of course it’s Key West So I replaced 24/7/365 With an island so quirky Hey at least I’m alive So from the northern climes I moved At least I won’t freeze What’s now on my menu I’ll take cats and roosters please.
