¼ cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ¼ cups Bisquick Baking Mix
1 cup dried tart cherries
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Spray 13 x 9-inch baking pan; set aside.
Beat butter in large mixer bowel until creamy.
Beat in sugar, eggs and vanilla until well combined.
Stir in Bisquick until well blended.
By hand, fold in cherries, chocolate morsels and nuts.
Spread evenly in prepared pan.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
Cut into squares.
Store, tightly covered, at room temperature.
VARIATION: * Substitute white chocolate chips for the semi-sweet morsels.
