  • Sweet Rewards Recipe Contest - Deadline: June 7, 2012
    For Amateur and Professional chefs.
    The Louisiana Sweet Potato Commission is, for the ninth year, sponsoring a recipe contest in partnership with Louisiana Cookin' magazine.  The Louisiana Sweet Potato Commission knows that home cooks and food lovers across America cook up some amazing sweet potato dishes. Do you serve them up as an appetizer? Or how about an entrée or side dish? Desserts are a given.  Enter your reciped for Fresh, Canned, or Frozen Sweet Potatoes.
    Professional Chefs' entries will be judged as a separate category; amateurs and professionals are both invited to submit recipes in the following categories:
    Appetizers - Side Dishes - Entrées - Desserts
    PRIZES:
    An overall grand prize winner will be chosen and will win $1,000.00.
    In addition, one winner from each category, including professional, will be awarded $500.00 each.
     
  • New York Mocktail Drink Competition - Deadline: June 15, 2012
    The “First-Of-Its-Kind Mocktail Drink Competition” is being held Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 1:00pm at The Bar & Restaurant Show-Javits Center in New York City.
    Benefiting The Hero Campaign, The New York Mocktail Drink Competition will be for the best non-alcoholic bar drink created by 20 of the industry’s best Mixologists, utilizing Ocean Spray Cranberries various products.
    The John R. Elliott HERO Campaign for Designated Drivers has a simple goal: To encourage more people to become sober designated drivers in order to reduce the number of drunken driving fatalities and injuries in our nation. With this in mind, promoting The New York Mocktail Drink Competition creates an atmosphere where customers wanting to be responsible can have fun drinking a non-alcoholic drink and not be left out of the fun.
    Here is how to enter:
    Submit your original “mocktail” recipe using one of more of the following Ocean Spray Products
    Cranberry Juice Cocktail - White Cranberry Juice - Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice - Blueberry Juice Cocktail - Cran-Cherry juice
    The 20 pre-chosen mixologists will be required to mix their drinks on the Show floor and be judged by 3 expert Judges. They will have 5 minutes to create their drink. Winners will be judged on overall impression, originality, appearance, aroma and taste. Winners will receive:
    1st Place winner-$1,000; 2nd Place-$500; 3rd Place- $250
     
  • Allens’ 3rd Annual 'Feast Your Veggies On This' Contest - Deadline: June 17, 2012
    The contest is calling for recipe submissions in celebration of Eat All Your Veggies Day (June 17), and the top winners will be announced on June 25th. Allens is bringing Feast Your Veggies On This back in a continued effort to promote healthy eating habits, and to honor 2012’s new wave of the nation’s best veggie cooks. 
    Winners will be selected based on a panel's selection of the three recipes in any of the categories that score highest in terms of innovation, flavor and visual appeal.
    Prizes:
    The First Place Winner will receive a one-year supply of Allens vegetables and Wholly Guacamole products.
    The Second Place Winner will receive a six-month supply of Allens vegetables.
    The Third Place Winner will receive a three-month supply of Allens vegetables.
     
  • 'Get Wild with Wild Rice' Recipe Contest – Deadline: June 22, 2012

    The Minnesota Cultivated Wild Rice Council seeks your innovative and delectable wild rice recipes for its 3rd annual recipe contest. Winning recipes will be featured in the 2012-2013 wild rice recipe brochure.
    The recipes must be must be original creations of the submitter.  Up to 16 finalists will be chosen on the recipes taste, ease of preparation, use of wild rice/sponsor products, and creativity.  The grand prize winner will be determined by public vote.
    Prizes:
    Finalist Prizes (up to 16): Winners will be credited in the 2012-2013 wild rice recipe brochure. In addition, finalists will receive three pounds of wild rice and a choice of two admission tickets to the Fair, one wild rice t-shirt and cap, or a signed copy of the "Saga of the Grain.”
    Grand Prize:  A $500 check.

  • AriZona's 'Design The Can' Contest - Deadline: June 29, 2012
    AriZona’s social media-driven initiative first asked fans to vote for its 20th anniversary flavor and today AriZona hands the reigns over to the loyal fans who have made the brand number one, asking them to tap into their creativity to design the new packaging for Cherry Lime Rickey.

    The winner will receive a cash prize of  $5,000 as well as national  notoriety.

     
  • Gnarly Head Rib Challenge - Deadline: July 31, 2012
    For the fourth consecutive year, Gnarly Head is on a mission to discover the gnarliest ribs recipe in the country.  So dust off your recipe book, put on your apron and submit a savory ribs recipe by putting your own gnarly twist on it.  Spice it up as you have total creative control.
    Your ribs recipes will be judged based on originality, taste appeal, wine pairing and simplicity. 
    The contestant with the best recipe as determined by our panel of experts will win $5,000.
     
  • Reser’s 'America’s Best Potato Salad Challenge' - Deadline: July 31, 2012
    Reser’s invites potato salad lovers to submit their family’s favorite potato salad recipe featuring this potassium-packed vegetable. Recipes will be evaluated based on appearance, taste and originality.
    Reser’s America’s Best Potato Salad Challenge is about creativity and fun. You are encouraged to think outside the box in this potato salad contest. What constitutes potato salad? Cooked potatoes, cold or warm, dressing/sauce base, and any other ingredients you would like to add!
    We choose the Top 10 recipes & you help vote on the top 5. Those top 5 win a trip for a chance to compete for at the inaugural World Food Championships in Las Vegas and have a chance to win the $10,000 grand prize.
    Contest Prizes:
    • Top 10 winners will be featured in Reser’s “America’s Best Potato Salad” digital cookbook
    • Top 5 winners will each receive $1,000 plus a $1,000 travel stipend to compete at the World Food Championships in Las Vegas, November 2-4, 2012.

  • Eggland’s Best “Your Best Recipe” Contest - Deadline: August 12, 2012
    To celebrate eggs’ versatility in recipes, Eggland's Best (EB), the No. 1 branded egg, launched today their first-ever national recipe contest where one lucky home cook will win $10,000.

  • Southern Peanut Growers Foodservice Recipe Contest - Deadline: Dec 31, 2012
    The contest is open to any foodservice trained chefs, educator or student 18 years or older. The contest is meant to inspire creativity in the professional kitchen.
    Each recipe must use at least 1/3 cup peanuts and/or peanut butter as an ingredient
    One grand prize winner will receive a cash prize of $2,500, and $1,000 will be awarded to four first-prize winners, one for each of the following categories: Appetizer/snack, Main Dish, Salad/Side Dish and Dessert.
