August 2-4, 2024  Mossyrock Blueberry Festival
Mossyrock, Washington
Held the first weekend in August, this festival includes musical events, a parade, a pie eating contest, a car show and lots of fun community events for all ages. Take home lots of our local blueberries and sample what our country cooks can do with them.

August 3, 2024  41st Annual Joyce Daze Wild Blackberry Festival
Joyce, Washington
Blackberry pie baking contest, pancake breakfast, fish pond, entertainment, vendors, parade, antique truck & car displays, salmon bake, and a beard, mustache and goatee contest.

August 8-17, 2024  Northwest Washington Fair - Lynden, Washington
The Northwest Washington Fair Association will organize an annual Fair that will promote an appreciation for our agricultural heritage, provide education about the role agriculture plays in life today while providing youth with a hands on experience.

August 10, 2024  Hood Canal Summerfest - Belfair, Washington
North Mason Rotary Club presents the Hood Canal Summerfest (former Taste of Hood Canal).  Belfair State Park.

August 16-19, 2024 - Bite of Tacoma - Tacoma, Washington
Bite of Tacoma is an annual food festival that celebrates the best of local cuisine, bringing together food lovers, chefs, and businesses from Tacoma and beyond. August 17, 2024  The National Lentil Festival - Pullman, Washington
Since its beginning in 1989, the National Lentil Festival has brought national attention to Pullman. The Palouse region of farmlands in Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho has a reputation for producing the highest quality lentils in the United States. We think that is worth celebrating.  This two day festival features the Legendary Lentil Cook-off, Cooking Demonstrations and more!

Incredible garlic cuisine, artisans and craft vendors, live music and over 60 varieties of natural garlic.   Attendance: 20,000.

August 24, 2024  Prosser Beer & Whiskey Festival
Prosser, Washington
Prosser Beer and Whiskey Festival is our region’s premier craft brewing and distillery event.

August 28-September 1, 2024  Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days
Walla Walla, Washington
In the fall of 1866, cowboys and farmers gathered to participate in the first Walla Walla Fair & Frontier Days.  This western celebration is a tradition in the Valley every Labor Day weekend.

August 30-Sept 22, 2024  Washington State Fair - Puyallup, Washington
One of the biggest fairs in the world lights up Washington state each September with star-studded entertainment, the PRCA Rodeo, rides, animals, delicious food, feature exhibits, activities for the kids and much more. The Washington State Fair - Do the Puyallup is the largest fair in the state, and the Pacific Northwest. Started in 1900, it is a staple of an American pastime, while offering contemporary features to enjoy and explore.

Bremerton, Washington
Stroll down Bremerton's boardwalk and stop to sample the best blackberry jams, jellies, pies and cobblers. The beer garden has blackberry cider and the very popular blackberry wine with the festival label will be available. More than one hundred vendors offer a vast array of foods, drinks & art; fun run, fly-in and kids' events.

August 5-6 & 12-13, 2016 - Peach Festival - Grandview, Washington
Come enjoy a celebration of summers glorious golden fruit... peaches! Hop a hayride out to our pedestrian friendly orchard, where our small trees make it possible for every member of the family to discover that nothing compares to a ripe juicy peach fresh off the tree.  On returning to our cool shady park you can enjoy live music, great food, and of course PEACH DONUTS! Kiddos will also enjoy playing on our two big playgrounds, riding the Barnyard Train, visiting Andrew's Animal Farm and taking a pony ride.  As always, admission to the farm is FREE, but there is a $5 parking fee on festival Saturdays.

August 8, 2015  34th Annual Prosser Wine & Food Fair
Prosser, Washington
An afternoon of fine wine and local food specilities. Two local bands will entertain you all day as you sample wine from 50 Washington wineries, food from local food vendors and beer from local breweries.  (also: www.prosserchamber.org/ )

August 20-22, 2015  The Grain Gathering - Mt. Vernon, Washington
The Grain Gathering: rebuilding local and regional grain networks, seed to table.  The annual conference brings together professional and home bakers, maltsters, brewers, millers, farmers, wheat breeders, food writers, wood-oven builders, and people who come to enjoy “summer camp for bread lovers”.

August 29, 2015  Tomato Battle Seattle - Seattle, Washington
The Tomato Battle unifies as many as 5,000 fruit-chucking fanatics for an afternoon of dancing to music, sipping libations, and flinging 300,000 pounds of roma tomatoes at one another. Mosh in a ketchup-covered fray that marries the traditions of Spain’s La Tomatina tomato-throwing festival and Germany’s Oktoberfest.
