Mix 1 heaping teaspoonful of baking powder in 1 pint of whole wheat flour; add the yolks of 2 eggs, 1 tablespoonful of butter or fresh lard, 1 teacupful of sweet milk, a pinch of salt; then add last the beaten whites of the 2 eggs. Bake at once in a hot oven about 20 minutes.
