Take 3 eggs, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of shortening, 1 cup of sorghum molasses, 1 cup of buttermilk, 1 tablespoonful of ginger, 1 teaspoonful of soda and 3 teacupfuls of flour. This will make 2 small loaves.
