CAKES AND COOKIES

FASTNACHT CAKES
 

 Take 3 eggs, 2 cups of sugar, 1 cup of lard, 1 1/2 pints of sour milk, 1 teaspoonful of soda, 1 teaspoonful of cream of tartar, and enough flour to roll nicely. Cut, and bake in boiling lard.
