Take 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of butter, 2 cups of sugar, 3/4 cup of sweet milk, 1 heaping teaspoonful of baking powder, and 2 1/2 scant cups of flour. Bake in layers, flavoring with lemon or vanilla. Then take 1 cup of milk. Put in a pan and let come to a boil. Then mix 1 tablespoonful of flour and 1 of sugar. Put in a pan and boil, and flavor with lemon or vanilla. Spread between layers and sprinkle with shredded cocoanut.
