Mash 1 pound of berries and put them into 1 quart of vinegar. Put the same amount of berries into this same vinegar for 3 successive mornings, then drain through a cloth and add 1 pound of sugar to every pint of the strained juice. Let simmer and skim; when cold, bottle Can be used any time adulterated with 2/3 water.
