Recipes from The Inglenook Cookbook
by The Sisters of the Brethren Church (1906)
Have ready slices of bacon. Take thin slices of liver, lay on a platter, pour over it boiling water; drain off immediately, season with salt and pepper and roll in flour. Put the bacon in a hot frying pan and fry until sufficient fat is fried out in which to fry the liver; then add liver and fry both together until well done and a dark brown. Serve immediately.
