Take 1 1/2 pounds of liver, do not slice but use in one piece; cut some breakfast bacon in thin slices, and with a clean white thread tie the bacon around the liver, put in roasting pan, cut an onion over it and sprinkle with flour, add salt and pepper to taste; pour in water and roast the same as other meat, about 1 hour in a moderate oven.
