Take 1/2 gallon of peaches, washed and peeled, 1 quart of vinegar, 1 pound of sugar, and 1 tablespoonful of cinnamon buds. Put vinegar, sugar and peaches over the fire and bring slowly to a boil; then put in a jar and seal.
