Boil 1 gallon of tomatoes until soft, strain through a sieve; add 1 quart of vinegar, 1 pound of sugar, 1 teaspoonful of cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoonful of black pepper, 4 teaspoonfuls of ground cloves, 4 teaspoonfuls of ground mustard, and 4 teaspoonfuls of salt. Boil down to 1/4 of its bulk and add 4 teaspoonfuls of cinnamon. Bottle and seal.
