Take 1 quart of dried apples and soak them 2 hours. Then take meat broth and boil the snitz till soft; then make the batter as given here: 2 eggs, 1 cup sweet milk, l teaspoonful of baking powder, a pinch of salt, 1 tablespoonful of melted butter. flour enough to make a stiff batter. Put this in when the broth is boiling. Boil 15 minutes.
