Recipes from The Inglenook Cookbook
by The Sisters of the Brethren Church (1906)
Take 1 package of gelatine dissolved in 1 pint of cold water for 1/2 hour, then pour 1 pint of boiling water over it, add 1 can of pineapple, 6 oranges in small pieces, 6 bananas in thin slices, 2/3 cup of grated cocoanut. Stir all together and set in a cool place to harden; or if it is warm, put on ice and stir occasionally until it begins to set, so that the fruit will be all through the gelatine.
