Roll crackers real fine, put a layer in a buttered pan, then a layer of apple sauce and a little butter, alternately a layer of crackers, then apple sauce and butter; have the last a thick layer of cracker crumbs; pour on enough to bake and put in a moderately hot oven till brown. Serve with cream and sugar.
