Take 1/2 cup of corn meal sifted in 1 quart of boiling milk; then mix together 1/2 cup of molasses, 1/2 cup of sugar, 3 or 4 eggs, 1 pint of cold milk, 1 teaspoonful of butter; mix thoroughly and add to the boiling milk and meal, then bake 2 or 3 hours in a moderate oven.
