Cut 1 gallon of cabbage, add 4 bunches of celery cut fine, 1 tablespoonful of mustard seed; mix all together, put in a porcelain or granite kettle with 1/2 pint of water, 1 pint of vinegar, and 1/2 pint of sugar; boil till tender, not too done. It can be canned if sealed while hot.
