Hey everyone, as a special treat for Wednesday, here's an extra recipe: Baked Teriyaki Chicken!
Most of the ingredients were either spices or sauces, most of which you probably have at home.
Ingredients we used:
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon cold water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
12 skinless chicken thighs
In a small saucepan over low heat, add in the garlic, ground ginger, cornstarch mixed with cold water, brown sugar, and soy sauce. Let it simmer, stirring frequently and breaking up the chunks of brown sugar until the sauce thickens and bubbles.
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Place the chicken thighs in an aluminum foil covered baking dish/pan. Brush the chicken with the sauce. Flip the pieces over and brush the other side.
Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Turn the pieces over and bake for another 30 minutes, or until the chicken is no longer pink and the juices run clear.
