This recipe is known to turn broccoli-haters into broccoli-lovers.
Serves 6
• 3 cups / 750 ml broccoli florets
• 1 cup / 250 ml raisins
• 10 slices bacon (fried, crumbled) or 1/2 cup/125 ml bacon bits
• 1/2 cup / 125 ml red onion (diced)
• 1/2 cup / 125 ml raw sunflower seeds
• 1/2 cup / 250 ml cheese (shredded; optional)
Mix together in a large bowl. Set aside.
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
• 3/4 cup / 175 ml plain yogurt or mayonnaise
Combine sugar and vinegar and stir to dissolve. Stir in yogurt until well blended. Pour over the broccoli mixture and stir together.
