SPICED COOKIES

Spiced Cookies No. 1

INGREDIENTS

    · 5 whole eggs
    · 1 lb. brown sugar
    · 2 teaspoons cinnamon
    · 1 teaspoon ground cloves
    · 1 teaspoon vanilla
    · 1 teaspoon ginger
    · 1 teaspoon baking soda
    · Flour to roll

DIRECTIONS

Mix the above together, add enough flour to handle it, roll it into small balls and bake on greased pans.
 

Spiced Cookies No. 2

INGREDIENTS

    · 1/2 cup butter
    · 2 cups brown sugar
    · 4 eggs
    · 1 teaspoon each of cloves and cinnamon
    · 4 cups flour
    · 2 teaspoons baking powder

DIRECTIONS

Cream butter and sugar, add the eggs beaten slightly one at a time, then flour.  Roll out and bake as the above cookies.
