Yields 6-8 Servings
INGREDIENTS
• 8 Peeled Cortland apples, sliced in ¼ inch halves
• 9 inch ceramic or Pyrex round pot
• 2 Tbs. All-purpose flour
• ¾ cups of sugar
• 1 Tsp. cinnamon powder
• A pinch of nutmeg
• 1 Tbsp. fresh squeezed lemon juice
• ¼ Stick butter (melted)
• 1 Pillsbury pie crust
For the crumbs you will need:
• 1 Cup flour
• 1 Cup brown sugar
• 1 Tsp. cinnamon
• ¼ Cup melted light butter
DIRECTIONS
• Pre-heat oven 350° for about 10 minutes
• In a medium size bowl. Mix all ingredients for the pie. Don’t include the ingredients for the crumbs yet.
• Place the pie crust at the bottom of the ceramic pot and tag it well. Start filling with the apple mixture.
• In a small bowl incorporate all of the ingredients for the crumbs, place them over the pie mix.
• Place pie in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes.
