NO! it’s not Flipper.
This gift from the sea.
Fear not the image
the name conjures in thee.
I’ve had it fried, blackened,
grilled and with lime.
On a loaf as a sandwich
or tartared sometime.
It’s caught near the reef
off the shore near the beach.
A rod would work
or use the fleet for the reach.
It’s the local special
fish preference assured.
When you try it you’ll love it
from your angst you are cured.
You’re still hung up
on that name from TV.
I swear it’s not him
yes he’s cute I agree,
but this one is flat-nosed
it speaks not like that star.
It fights like the devil
when reeled in from so far.
Down the Keys you will eat
this firm fish on your plate.
I prefer it florentined.
It’s my favorite it’s great!
