The big deal on Mother’s Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and pretty much any Sunday is brunch at the island resorts. The competition is healthy and with food selection so huge in all cases I would say the only way to truly judge is to try them all. Just pick a holiday. Sunday brunches are right around $25 per person and holiday meals run closer to $32. If parking is an issue then stay on the Atlantic side with Flagler’s at the Historic Wyndham Casa Marina Resort. If you prefer the view from the Gulf side then Nicola’s at the Hyatt or The Bistro at the Hilton would be the meal location of choice. If you’ve read previous reviews you’ll remember that my issue with the Bistro is cruise chips parked in front of the restaurant blocking the view. You wont have this problem at the Hyatt. Also please note that for some reason our fair city does not serve alcohol until noon on Sundays, so if the brunch is of the champagne variety the bottle will be sealed till the 12 o’clock hour!
