----------------------------------------------------------------- QUOTE "I am going to learn to make bread to-morrow. So you may imagine me with my sleeves rolled up, mixing flour, milk, saleratus, etc., with a deal of grace. I advise you if you don't know how to make the staff of life to learn with dispatch." ----------------------------------------------------------------- NEWS ABOUT BEER Germans are losing their taste for beer. Beer consumption is down by 20% over the last 20 years, and fell another 2% in the first quarter of 2001. In the 1980s Germans drank 150 liters, per capita, now that figure is down to below 125 liters. Brewers are coming up with some new (and weird) combinations, such as beer mixed with cola, tequila, fruit juices, etc. But, for Germans who want to drink their share, there are still over 5,000 brands of beer to choose from.
