BEN SARGENT
Ben is best known as the chef and fisherman who ran a successful underground lobster roll business from his Brooklyn basement apartment. Often referred to as 'The Brooklyn Chowder Surfer', he also founded the 'Brooklyn Fishing Derby' in 2009.
Growing up in Cambridge Massachusetts Ben began to develop his love for seafood & surfing at an early age. He later attended Skidmore College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts.
In 2001 he opened 'Hurricane Hopeful', a Williamsburg seafood restaurant which featured his famous chowders & lobster rolls.
In 2010, Ben began hosting a weekly radio show called 'Catch IT, Cook IT & Eat IT' which highlights his philosophy on food.
He has also appeared on Food Network's 'Throwdown with Bobby Flay' and on Cooking Channels 'United Tastes of America'.
This will be the second season of 'Hook, Line & Dinner' on Cooking Channel (www.cookingchanneltv.com).
