Welcome to the pages of a viciously brilliant read that strikes an emotional chord within all of us…the journey of life and the value of friendship. Through liberal doses of humor and irreverence, Deirdre and Denise invite us into their lives, hearts, and minds as they pledge the sorority of sisterhood and graduate from the university of adversity preparing them for a wild and wonderful life of diversity.
As they chronicle their personal experiences in a "Desperate Housewives" meets "Sex and the City" style, we are treated to invaluable lessons of faith, friendship, and fulfillment. These two sparkling female gems embrace the grindstone of life and choose to be polished rather than crushed. Deirdre and Denise continuously remind us that happiness is not found in the absence of conflict, but rather in the ability to cope with it. They do so in supreme style. Their amazing bond of friendship doubles their joy and divides their grief.
"I'll Have What She's Having" is a must read for all sexes, detailing the pleasures of life as they are truly what we make them. While rushing Alpha Chi Omega these two soul sisters sought the opportunities of a lifetime…twenty years later they've earned a masters in fulfillment. Their diploma of satisfaction is revealed in wanting what they have instead of having what they want!
Author Biographies
Deirdre Flanagan Ward
Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to feed five children in a single round.
Meet Deirdre Ward: mother, writer, avid cook and entertainer. Deirdre was born January 1st, 1961 in Buffalo, New York and claims her New Year’s debut kicked off her love of celebrations. Her kids tease her about being a Domestic Diva, but Deirdre likens herself more to a modern day Donna Reed and unashamedly admits to having a serious apron collection and an addiction to Burberry. She is a copywriter for a web-based company and has been published several times in the Jersey Diary section of the New York Times. Deirdre enjoys her ‘suburberry’ lifestyle in Glen Rock, New Jersey with husband Joe and children: Joseph, Kevin, Terence, Patrick and Maeve - the Memphis belle.
Denise DiTrani
Denise has made a career out of changing careers – from sales to human resources and eventually writing, with many stints of bartending in between. She describes herself as a typical Gemini, naturally ambidextrous, with the innate ability to reason extremes convincingly.
Denise’s passions include mafia movies, browsing bookstores, challenging crosswords, bubble baths, group games, her family’s company and their always delicious Italian cooking.
Still ‘single in the city’, Denise shares her co-op with her irascible cat, Aspen.
