Recipes from The Inglenook Cookbook
by The Sisters of the Brethren Church (1906)
Take 1 cupful of cocoanut, 1 cupful of milk curd, 1 cupful of cream, yolks of 5 eggs, 1 cupful of sugar, and 1 teaspoonful of extract of rose. Place cream, curd, eggs, sugar, and cocoa-nut on the stove in a thick saucepan, and when thick remove from fire; add the extract when cold; fill pie pans lined with crust and bake in a steady oven 10 minutes.
