Put 1 gallon of sweet milk into a double boiler, let come to a boil, then add 1/2 cup of butter, 1 teaspoonful of salt, 1 teaspoonful of celery seed, 1/2 teaspooful of pepper, 1 good-sized onion chopped fine, 12 small potatoes cooked done and mashed fine. Serve while hot.
