You probably already know Metromint Peppermint with its big bold taste, and its subtle cousin Spearmint. Now we’re proud to present the newest members of our growing family: Lemonmint and Orangemint. These citrusy varieties were developed with mainstream flavor profiles, combined with our hallmark mint taste and cooling sensation. Now, with a 4 bottle line-up, there’s even more to love.
Lemonmint is surprisingly tangy and brisk. It has a bright and invigorating taste that awakens your senses.
Orangemint is pleasantly aromatic, citrusy and mild. Drinking it evokes an orange grove in full bloom.
Savor it. Sip it. Or swig it. Made with pure water, and absolutely no preservatives, Metromint delivers all natural refreshment with nuance. It contains no sweeteners and no calories. Nothing but all natural ingredients and a surprisingly vibrant taste. Pure. Simple. Mintwater.®
Benefits of Drinking Metromint
Metromint stimulates the senses, soothes the stomach, and restores the mind. Exactly the kind of benefits you just can’t get from plain old bottled water. And exactly why style- and health-conscious consumers are drinking Metromint.
Mint stimulates the brain, while sending cooling sensations throughout the body. The natural menthol in Metromint freshens the breath and can clear congestion related to colds and allergies. Enjoyed before a meal, mint increases the flow of digestive juices. After dinner, it soothes the lining of the digestive tract. Pregnant women with upset stomachs and morning sickness report Metromint’s calming, all natural benefits.
For centuries, mint has been used as a curative: the Romans relied on it for headaches; Native Americans believe it strengthens the spirit and mind; and the Japanese brew it in tea to increase concentration and productivity.
Leading the Category
Bottled water consumption has tripled since 1991, and is the fastest growing market segment in the US beverage industry. It’s poised to surpass beer, milk, and coffee to become the second best-selling beverage after soft drinks. Within the bottled water category, flavored water is the fastest growing sub-category and Metromint is now the fastest growing bottled water in the natural food channel.* And we’re not just growing, we’re going head-to-head with the big boys. We are currently 8th in overall sales in an increasingly competitive category.*
Metromint is pioneering the all new mintwater category. Something totally new that has already caught on in the beverage world, and we’re already beginning to see competition. Mintwater is the hot new way to stay cool.
We Believe in Healthy
We believe in making the best choices for a balanced lifestyle. That’s why Metromint has an in-house Wellness and Outreach Director: Michele. A former raw foods chef from New York, Michele came on board to build a connection to the communities surrounding us, both geographically and philosophically.
As wellness guru of the Metromint family, Michele inspires us to make healthy choices by preparing raw meals, leading cleansing fasts, and sharing her favorite resources. We hope she’ll inspire you too.
Online (metromint.com/living), Michele leads discussions about the body and nutrition and interviews the people who inform our choices about what we eat. Each month she touches on a distinct, health-minded theme and moderates an open forum for thinking and discussion about how food can affect the mind and the body.
We Predict a Cooling Trend
Take one sip and experience the cooling sensation you can get only from the real mint in Metromint. Mint’s essential oils naturally stimulate the nerves in your brain and send cooling sensations throughout your body. Long after your first taste, the mint continues to invigorate.
Each variety of Metromint is now designated with a numerical chill factor. From mildly cool Orangemint (-3°) to super cool Peppermint (-9°), the chill factor is a comparative scale that measures the range of minty refreshment.
The Creators of Metromint
Metromint is the brain-child of Rio Miura and Scott Lowe. Born in Japan, with a background in product and fashion design, Miura conceived the recipe for Metromint and designed the bottle and packaging. Lowe, a Stanford graduate with a degree in International Relations, is responsible for product development and manufacturing. Miura and Lowe met in Japan twelve years ago, married, and have two children. Together they own and operate a successful tea and chai business under the name David Rio.
