Celebrate your passion… and celebrate life! Chocolate is one of life’s true pleasures. No matter what your age, background or interests, almost everyone loves chocolate.  The Chocolate Expo has by far become the northeast’s largest chocolate-themed event. The Chocolate Expo offers tastings & sales of chocolates, baked goods, specialty foods, gelato, cheeses and much more from local and regional vendors. Depending on location, tastings and sales of wines, beers and other “adult beverages” may also be offered.  Each Chocolate Expo event combines chocolate and food with a dash of fun such as unique exhibits, performances, demonstrations and/or celebrity appearances.

April 22-27, 2024  City Restaurant Week - Wilmington, Delaware
Wilmington's fine dining scene is dominated by owner-operators. In other words, there is not a chain restaurant in the bunch. The result is a menu of 19 restaurants to select from, offering everything from Thai to Chilean to Italian. Better yet, you get to sample the creative cuisine of these fine dining spots with prix-fixe prices of $15 for lunch and $35 or $50 for dinner. Reservations are strongly suggested. Contact the restaurant directly to make your reservation.

• Sinfully Sweet Pairing: An informative sit-down Full Wine Tasting including 6 hand-made gourmet chocolates - $22pp. Offered at 12:30pm, 2:00pm, 3:30pm, 5:00pm and 6:30pm. The Junior League of Wilmington presents its Heart of the Home Kitchen Tour, which will showcase fabulous, recently renovated dream kitchens while offering scrumptious food samples and demonstrations from some of the area’s top chefs and restaurants.  The self-guided Tour, which is the League’s major biannual fundraiser, will include kitchens in the Greater Wilmington area, including locations in Wilmington, Greenville, Hockessin, Newark, and southern Chester County.

April 8-9, 2016  Triple Threat Barbecue Festival at the Delaware State Fair - Harrington, Delaware
The Delaware State Fair's Triple Threat BBQ Festival, where food and fun lovers collide for the ultimate feast.  As a Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned event, the Triple Threat is every bit a competition as it is a good time for visitors. Jam packed with 2 days of fun, the BBQ Fest includes live music, carnival rides, corn hole, and of course, beer, wine, and barbecue.  BBQ competitions will offer prizes ranging from $100.00 to $2,500.00 for each category: beef brisket, pork ribs, chicken, pork. Grand Champion $2,500.00, Reserve Champion $1,300.00, Delaware State Champion $1,500.00.
