Every home in India or Pakistan probably has its own handed-down recipe for this aromatic mixture of spices. Used as a flavoring agent, it is supposed to "heat" the body.
Pareve
Yield: 3 Tablespoons
Ingredients
• 1 tablespoon cardamom seeds
• 1 inch stick of cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon whole black cumin seeds or regular whole cumin seeds
• 1 teaspoon whole cloves
• 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
• 1/3 whole nutmeg or 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Directions
Grind all ingredients together in electric spice mill or coffee grinder until powdery.
