EVENT CANCELLED FOR 2024.  Enjoy tasting local award-winning wines from 12 Leelanau Peninsula wineries & 1 local brewery, delicious specialties from 8 local food vendors while soaking up beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the Manitou Islands.  The Leland Lodge.  Non-stop Live Entertainment all day!

June 1, 2024 - Annual Empire Asparagus Festival - Empire, Michigan
10:00am- Kick-yer- Assparagus 5km Fun Run Walk.  • Noon- Recipe Contest in the Township Hall Front St Empire.  • Noon to 6pm- Asparagus Eats on Front St with Food vendors local Breweries & Music.  • 2pm- Ode to Asparagus Glen Lake Community Library Front St Empire.  We cannot wait to boogie on Front Street with asparagus in hand with you all! June 1, 2024  Blue Water Sturgeon Festival - Port Huron, Michigan
A family-friendly event centered on providing close encounters with the "Giants of the Great Lakes”. The event features dozens of indoor & outdoor exhibits, hands-on activities, and live sturgeon viewing. Thousands of threatened lake sturgeon call underneath the Blue Water Bridges home which makes it possible to see the Great Lake’s largest fish!

June 6-9, 2024 - Frankenmuth Bavarian Festival
Frankenmuth, Michigan

Detroit Beer Press will be here creating one of a kind stamped coasters. Stop by their booth and receive a FREE Lansing Beer Fest coaster while supples last!

June 17, 2023  Strawberry Fest & Craft Show - Coldwater, Michigan
Stroll down Chicago Street where flats of strawberries and other strawberry delights may be purchased. The sidewalks are filled with nearly a hundred arts and crafts vendors. Look for the special kids' area. Always the 3rd Saturday in June.

June 17-19, 2023  Belleville National Strawberry Festival
Belleville, Michigan
Held every Fathers Day weekend with a parade and many other berry special events!  A weekend of fun for everyone!  Attendance: 200,000.

June 20, 2020  Lake Michigan Shore Wine Festival - Sawyer, Michigan
The always-popular event will take place at Warren Dunes State Park from 1 to 9 p.m. Eastern Time. Over 4,000 guests are expected to attend and sample all of the wonderful Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail's locally-grown-and-produced varietals. Delicious cuisine from local caterers will be available for wine aficionados and the entire family!  Attendance: 4,000.

Wellington Farm, USA is a 60-acre open-air interpretive museum designed to provide an educational opportunity for visitors to experience life as it was in rural mid-America during The Great Depression.  Through a series of displays, a wide variety of exhibits, and beautiful natural settings, the park provides a variety of educational, recreational, and cultural opportunities for visitors to Northern Michigan.

The annual old fashioned festival at Alden Depot Park is fun for the whole family, with Michigan strawberries served over homemade shortcake and topped with real whip cream, along with live entertainment and do-it-yourself strawberry kits to take home.

GIZZARDFEST IS TAKING THE YEAR OFF TO RESTRUCTURE.  Thank everyone so very much for all the years of fun and excitement!  We hope to see you again in 2018!

June 11, 2017  Traverse Colantha Walker Dairy Festival
Traverse City, Michigan
The festival recognizes Colantha, the Holstein dairy cow.  Of the 96 Holstein-Friesian cows that comprised the former Traverse City State Hospital’s herd, Colantha was by far the most prolific. In 1926, she produced 22,918 pounds of milk in a single year, making her the highest producer in the world! According to a Federal census during that same year, the State average production was only 3,918 lbs. of milk per cow per year! In her lifetime, from 1916 to 1932, her total production was 200,114.9 pounds of milk. Wow!  Activities include a pancake breakfast, farmers market, Great Grilled Cheese Grill-Off, food, art, live music, food demonstrations, wine & cheese pairings, milk & cookie pairings for the kids and a parade to Colantha's headstone.

Traverse City, Michigan
The festival is a landmark celebration of the wine, food and culture of Michigan’s wine coast, featuring wines from wineries of the Leelanau Peninsula, Old Mission Peninsula, Traverse City & Benzie along with a selection of the area's finest restaurants serving gourmet food and desserts. Live entertainment.  (also: traversecitywinefestival.com/ )  Attendance: 4,000.
