Rough and ready Rutabaga
no matter what you chant,
greeted through the ages
by either rave or rant.
Some say bitter, others sweet
arguing at every meal,
on only one thing they agree,
the ’baga has no sex appeal.
And though its uses are diverse
whether diced or chopped or raw,
whether boiled or fried or roasted,
votes are either “ahh” or “blah“.
But the rough and ready ’baga
stands up to each rebuke
asking only that you try them
even if you puke!
