Each year the ever-growing festival sees tens-of-thousands of visitors flock from the surrounding areas to feast on a vast array of culinary activities, making Foodies Festival the social event of the summer. We have top chefs cooking in the Chef’s Theatre; wine, beer, and cocktails in the Drink’s Theatre and kids can learn to cook too in the Children’s Cookery Theatre; A new Tasting Theatre with The Cake & Bake demonstrations; Wine and Champagne Theatre; Beer Theatre; A new Feasting Tent; Another exciting addition this year is the Vintage Tea Tent; A new Chilli Food Market and Chilli Eating Challenge takes place at 5pm daily.

As our three ‘local’ CAMRA beer festivals have been cancelled this year – Glasgow, Paisley and Ayrshire (Troon) – the Ayrshire & Wigtownshire, Renfrewshire and Glasgow & West of Scotland CAMRA branches have agreed to promote a joint Autumn Ale by Rail Trail over the weekend of 22-24 October 2021. Turriff Show, organised by Turriff District Agricultural Association, is a two-day event, held on the Sunday, Monday before the first Tuesday in August. Turriff Show is the largest annual event to be held in Aberdeenshire and is the largest two-day Show in Scotland. The oldest agricultural show in south-west Scotland offers a great day out for the whole family to enjoy. The older of the two remaining agricultural societies in the county, Wigtown Agricultural Society was founded in 1811 with the first show held in 1813.
