53rd Annual Corn Roast Festival
Westminster, Maryland
Held at the historic Union Mills Homestead, the event includes music throughout the day, art vendors, tours of the homestead and grist mill and a fried chicken dinner with all the roasted corn you can eat!

August 3-10, 2024 - Annual Howard County Fair
West Friendship, Maryland
Something for all ages with exhibits, animals, agricultural displays, contests, entertainment, amusement rides, food, family-oriented fun, and more!  General admission tickets are $5.00 for 10 years & up, senior admission tickets are $2.00 for 62 years & up, and children under 10 years old are free. Parking is free on-site.

August 5-9, 2024 - Eastern Apicultural Society Annual Conference
Ellicott City, Maryland
Turf Valley Resort.  One of the largest gatherings for the promotion of bee culture, education of beekeepers, certification of Master Beekeepers, and excellence in bee research.

August 12-25, 2024  Howard County Restaurant & Craft Beverages Weeks - Howard County, Maryland
Howard County Restaurant Weeks & Craft Beverages is a two week celebration of local food, drink, and community where you can discover our prized culinary and craft beverage scene. Catch up with loved ones and old friends over a meal while supporting local businesses! Participating locations will be offering unique meals and menus for every taste and budget.
 

August 16-18, 2024  Wicomico County Fair - Salisbury, Maryland
Winterplace Park Equestrian Center, Salisbury, MD.  There is something for everyone at the fair including kids games, animals, home arts, auctions, entertainment, and of course, lots of competitions.  The Wicomico Farm and Home Show has partnered with the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce to expand the 81 year fair traditions. We will now incorporate activities from the Chicken Festival to the long running event.

August 17, 2024  Eastern's Bayside Blues and Wine Festival
Baltimore, Maryland
Blues and wine festival featuring Maryland wineries and five blues bands.  Various types of food and crafts onsite.

August 22-Sept 8, 2024  Maryland State Fair - Timonium, Maryland
Attracting over 500,000 visitors annually, the Maryland State Fair features thoroughbred horseracing, bull riding, barrel racing, concerts, agricultural fair tours, games, rides, and more. The Fair has been a late summer tradition since 1878.  August 22-25; August 29-Sept 2 and Sept 5 - 8, 2024.  Attendance: 500,000.

August 30-September 1, 2024  77th National Hard Crab Derby
Crisfield, Maryland

August 31, 2024  Caribbean Food And Wine Festival
West Friendship, Maryland
A celebration of Caribbean culture and cuisine at the Howard County Fairground, 1pm to 8pm.  Indulge in a wide range of authentic Caribbean dishes, from Jerk Chicken and Curry Goat to Escovitch Fish and more, all served with Rice and Peas and Plantains.. This year’s festival will also feature a Rum Tasting, showcasing the best of Caribbean rum.  In addition to the delicious food and drink, the festival offers a variety of entertainment options, including live music from local and international artists, cultural performances, and more.

Prince Frederick, Maryland
This festival draws thousands of music and wine lovers from throughout Maryland and surrounding states. It showcases a number of Maryland wineries, food and retail vendors and live music all day long by local and regional bands. It's a relaxing day for a mature crowd. Attendees must be 21+ years of age.

Bethesda, Maryland
EVENT POSTPONED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS.  The world's largest and longest-running event of its kind. The conference attracts more than a thousand newcomers and longtime activists alike who join together to learn, network, and get inspired.  Our exciting program will feature special sessions connecting animal agriculture and climate change, as well as opportunities to shop from cruelty-free vendors, and enjoy delicious vegan food.

August 7, 2021 - Baltimore Wine & Food Festival
Baltimore, Maryland
Harbor Point - Central Plaza, Inner Harbor - 11am to 5pm.  Over 100 Different INTERNATIONAL and LOCAL Wines, Beers, and Spirits. The title says wine but there are all types of adult beverages offered, sampled, and compared.  A souvenir glass to take home.  Great food to taste and to buy from some of our great vendors and great food trucks.

August 7, 2021  Chesapeake Crab, Wine & Beer Festival
Baltimore, Maryland
A celebration of the bounty of Chesapeake Bay complete with thousands of crabs, delicious beers and wines and other mouth-watering seafood. The show will feature live music, arts and crafts, exhibits, fun kids' activities, carnival rides and a breathtaking view of the Potomac River.

August 26, 2017 - International Arts and Jerk Festival
Bowie, Maryland
4th Annual International Arts and Jerk Festival to be held at the Howard County Fairground starting at 12noon. We will be showcasing the best of our local Artistes and Barbecue specialists in one area punctuated by the top musicologist in the Washington Metropolitan Area. The genre of music range from Reggae, R&B, Soul, Old School, Saxophonist and Ska.  Linganore Winery and Society Wine will be on hand to satisfy all wine enthusiasts and lovers. The famous Jamaican Jerk Chicken and Jerk Pork will be available in abundance.
