Batesville, Indiana
Wine Tasting, Food, Live Music and Children Activities.

October 4-6, 2024
Bloomfield Apple Festival
Bloomfield, Indiana
This is one of the best small town fall festivals in Southern Indiana, it features carnival rides, food and merchandise vendors, live music, various contests (such as a baking contest, baby contest, pedal tractor contest), a quilt auction, art exhibit, 5k Run, wiffle ball tournament, live demonstrations, and more.  A great time for all ages.  The Apple Festival is held in the town park, and is always on the first weekend in October.

October 5, 2024  7th Annual Corn Maze Beer Fest - Columbus, Indiana
A one-of-a-kind beer festival that will feature 80+ of the best breweries from around the country scattered inside an 11-acre corn maze. Find the breweries and receive unlimited beer samples all day long. Enjoy some live music and tasty food from local food trucks.

October 5, 2024  Manchester Alive Harvest Fest
North Manchester, Indiana
Food vendors, craft vendors, horse-drawn wagon rides, cow-milking contest, petting zoo, pumpkin painting, farmers' market, mum sale, pony rides and hayrides.

October 5-6, 2024  Annual Apple Festival of Kendallville
Kendallville, Indiana
Noble County Fair Grounds.  Music, food, puppets, storytelling, dancers, Apple Baking Contest, Apple Toss, Ladies Skillet Throw, demonstrations, craft booths, and "all things apple". A great family event.
 


 

October 5-6, 2024  57th Annual Feast of the Hunters' Moon
West Lafayette, Indiana
Reenactment of life during the 18th century--French, British & Native American trading post, crafts, demonstrations, live music and over 50 different foods adapted from original recipes.

October 6-12, 2024  103rd Annual West Side Nut Club Fall Festival
Evansville, Indiana
This is a week-long gala with over 130 food booths sponsored by non-profit groups, free entertainment, carnival, talent competition, and a huge parade. The event attracts over 200,000 people to the West Side and is the 2nd largest street festival in the U.S.  Attendance: 200,000.

October 11-12, 2024  Ethnic Expo - Columbus, Indiana
A weekend of events celebrating cultures that come together in Columbus, Indiana to create a vibrant, welcoming community. Ethnic Expo is one of the largest and most beloved local festivals.  It will take place surrounding Columbus City Hall, located at 123 Washington Street.

October 11-20, 2024  Parke County Covered Bridge Festival
Parke County, Indiana
This countywide festival, Indiana's largest festival, is nationally known as one of the largest. Enjoy visiting communities throughout the county with a wide array of shopping and a variety of food that is sure to please everyone.  Headquartered on the courthouse lawn in Rockville, Indiana, since 1957. Free entertainment is scheduled on the south side of the courthouse throughout each day.  A few examples of food related events: Montezuma is home to the "Hog Roast" with many activities scheduled daily. Tangier Community serves that "world famous" buried beef that is a delicacy of the festival.  Bloomingdale, a Quaker Community, prepares Homemade Apple Butter at the Friends Church.  Please check website for complete details.

October 12, 2024  Valparaiso Fall Harvest Festival - Valparaiso, Indiana
Fall is the perfect time to spend time in downtown Valparaiso. Check out the “spooktacular” events planned for this special day!  Wear your spookiest or silliest costume and go door-to-door in Valparaiso’s downtown to get some tasty treats from our restaurants and retailers.  Visit Central Park Plaza for treats and fun in the park. Free Hayrides provided by the Valparaiso Parks Department!

School Nutrition Association.

October 19, 2024  Sorghum Festival - Marengo, Indiana
Crawford County Fairgrounds.  This annual fall event showcases the outstanding work of Indiana local artists and craftsmen. Live demonstrations, food booths, and lots of entertainment are also included. And don't forget that delicious homemade sorghum. 3rd Saturday in October.

October 23-26, 2024  97th Annual National FFA Convention & Expo
Indianapolis, Indiana
National FFA Organization (formerly Future Farmers of America).  Each year, nearly 55,000 FFA members and guests gather to learn about careers in the agriculture industry, compete for scholarships, volunteer in the community and shape the future of the National FFA Organization.   Attendance: 55,000.

October 25, 2024  Taste Gala - Indianapolis, Indiana
Join us at Taste, Together, co-presented by Riley Children’s Health at 502 East Event Centre in Carmel, IN. Enjoy drinks, dinner, and an exciting live auction, all to celebrate 40+ years of RMHCCIN’s mission of serving families.

October 6, 2018 - Chili Cook-Off - Winchester, Indiana
Historic Farmland, USA  fundraiser,,Annual Chili Cook-Off.   Chili Competition starts at 8:00am, when the cooking begins; judging at 11:00am; and chili is ready for the public to eat at 11:00am also!   The fun day also includes our Farmland Famous PIE auction, starting at 12:30pm!  And that’s not all!  We also have an Apple Bake-Off and Mac & Cheese Extravaganza Competition!   Cash prizes and trophies will be given!
