July 18-28, 2024 Lexington Restaurant Week - Lexington, Kentucky July 19-21, 2024 Bacon, Bourbon and Brew Festival Newport, Kentucky The Bacon, Bourbon and Brew Festival is dedicated to the area’s rich history and connections to the brewing and pork industries as well as our region’s long ties to the bourbon industry. Each of the festival food vendors will feature creative bacon dishes including freshly prepared items sure to delight every bacon lover. Live music, games and more are part of the family fun.
July 25-28 & August 1-4, 2024 Glier’s Goettafest - Newport, Kentucky Two full weekends of delicious Glier's Goetta, Live Music and Family Fun! This two weekend "Celebration of all Things Goetta" will take place at Newport's Festival Park at the Levee. Admission is Free and open to the public. Glier’s Goettafest is a family-fun festival celebrating the region’s love of Goetta. Goetta will be prepared in many delicious ways including Goetta Reubens, omelets, pizza and more. There will be continuous live music, games and rides. (Goetta is a meat-and-grain sausage primarily composed of ground meat, pin-head oats and spices) August 4, 2024 - Heritage Fire - Louisville, Kentucky Heritage Fire is a three-hour live-fire event focused on education and delivering moments of culinary awakening. Taking place in 14 cities, the walk-around reception features an all-inclusive bacchanal feast paired with thoughtful bites prepared by some of the most critically acclaimed kitchens in each market, with products from locally sourced farms and sponsors. The festivities includes fun and interactive activations, as well as the crowning of your city’s Heritage Hero. August 15-18, 2024 Great Inland Seafood Festival - Newport, Kentucky Free and accessible to all, on Riverboat Row, on the banks of the Ohio River in Newport Kentucky. The Best Seafood You'll Ever Taste! Over 15 local restaurants & National vendors will be selling the best tasting, freshest seafood available, including whole Maine Lobsters, shrimp, crawfish, crablegs, oysters, salmon, redfish, and much, much more.... Come early as 10,000 lobsters sell fast!!! We are usually sold out by early Sunday afternoon. Live music and entertainment. August 15-25, 2024 Kentucky State Fair - Louisville, Kentucky Attracting over 600,000 visitors annually, the fair showcases Kentucky's agriculture, products, entertainment and people. Highlights include blue ribbon competitions, concerts, carnival rides, and the renowned World Championship Horse Show. The Cast-Iron Chef Competition is held at 1:30 p.m. every day of the fair on the Gourmet Garden stage. Each day two chefs will contend against each other to create a flawless entrée in 30 minutes or less. Attendance: 600,000. August 22-24, 2024 30th Annual Buttermilk Days Festival Bardstown, Kentucky The event that offers good home cooking, along with sweet harmonies, dancing and lots of reunions of families, friends and neighbors.
