20th Annual Great American Seafood Cook-Off
New Orleans, Louisiana
The Great American Seafood Cook-Off has become the most prestigious culinary seafood competition. The event emphasizes the importance of cooking with domestic seafood and encourages the use of products from sustainable fisheries.  The Convention Center - Hall J.

August 3-4, 2024 - LRA Showcase - New Orleans, Louisiana
Louisiana's Foodservice & Hospitality Tradeshow.  The Louisiana Restaurant Association (LRA) Showcase is the largest and most attended show of its kind in the region. Featuring the 20th Annual Great American Seafood Cook-Off.  A wide variety of special events and educational seminars await you at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center!  Attendance: 5,500.

August 14-18, 2024  72nd Annual Delcambre Shrimp Festival
Delcambre, Louisiana
Always the 3rd full weekend in August. Home to one of the area's most productive shrimp fleets. Events include a shrimp cook-off, queens pageants, fais-do-do's, food booths, carnival rides, and the blessing of the shrimp boat fleet. There's plenty of fun for "kids" of all ages and lots to see, hear, and EAT!

August 22-25, 2024  Annual Gueydan Duck Festival
Gueydan, Louisiana
Duck and Goose Calling contests, Skeet Shooting, Hunting Dog Trials, and Decoy Carving. Great food, Nightly Bands, Junior and Senior Queens Pageants,  Grand Parade, Outdoor and Indoor Cooking Contests, Auction, Arts and Crafts, Carnival.
 


 

August 23, 2024  17th Annual Fête Rouge Food & Wine Fête
Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Food & Wine Fete.  Baton Rouge Epicurean Society's annual Fête Rouge will take place at L'Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge.  Fête Rouge is a palate-pleasing event showcasing prominent Baton Rouge chefs and some of the finest wines from around the world.

August 29-Sept 2, 2024  89th Louisiana Shrimp & Petroleum Festival
Morgan City, Louisiana
Deep in the heart of Cajun Country, every Labor Day Weekend, tens of thousands of people celebrate at Louisiana's oldest chartered harvest festival. There's plenty of fun for "kids" of all ages and lots to see, hear, do and eat!

August 2, 2014 - 8th Annual Steak Cook-Off - Springhill, Louisiana
The Annual Steak Cook-Off will be held from 10:00am to 6:00 pm in the Piggly Wiggly parking in Springhill. All proceeds will be donated to St. Jude.  There will be activities for the entire family: Kiddy Corner and Games, Vendors, Food, Children's Author, Betty Wells, Kiddy Corner and Games, Vendors, Karaoke Contest, Car, Bike, and Truck Show and Poker Run.
