Foodie Byte: This dish can be made ahead, cooled in ice, drained, and set aside in a covered container for reheating later.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Serves: 6
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 2 or 3 small garlic cloves, peeled
• 1½ pounds tender green beans
• Salt and pepper to taste
1. Melt butter and olive oil with the garlic
2. Cook green beans in a large pot of boiling water until just tender, about 3 to 5 minutes.
3. Drain and toss with garlic butter and seasonings.
4. Serve immediately.
