8th Annual Arkansas State Chili Championship
Eureka Springs, Arkansas
The annual Arkansas State Chili Championship is taking place at the beautiful Holiday Island Country Club.  If you are interested in competing or spectating contact Steve at 845-235-3073.
 

2023 ARKANSAS: APRIL 2023

April 18, 2023 - Taste of the Valley - Russellville, Arkansas
Depot Park in front of the Russellville Train Depot 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. We will be hosting a variety of restaurants between Morrilton and Clarksville that embodies the foodie culture of the River Valley. We will be giving awards to restaurants as well such as People's Choice, Best Drink, Best Entree, and more to be announced! We will also have the Silent Auction again with several donated prizes from our local businesses.

April 22, 2023  Earth Day - Worldwide
The first Earth Day on April 22, 1970, activated 20 million Americans from all walks of life and is widely credited with launching the modern environmental movement.  More than 1 billion people now participate in Earth Day activities each year, making it the largest civic observance in the world.

April 5, 2020 - Jewish Food and Cultural Festival
Little Rock, Arkansas
The Jewish Federation of Arkansas (JFAR)  Jewish Food and Cultural Festival includes traditional Jewish foods and also features booths on Jewish and Israeli culture.  Judaica, jewelry, and other gift items created by local Jewish artists are on display and for sale. Inflatables and other activities are available for kids, who also have the opportunity to run and play on the football field.  Entertainment throughout the day includes contemporary and traditional Jewish music by local and regional musicians.  Visitors are invited to bring a bag of non-perishable food items to donate to the Arkansas Foodbank.  Attendance:  15,000.

April 26-27, 2019  Edamame Festival & BBQ Cook-off - Alma, Arkansas
This years festival will include a BBQ Cook-off, concerts on Friday night and Saturday afternoon, a pageant, and car show.  New this year will be a "Farm Boy Olympics" and Mutton Bustin'.

April 26, 2018 - Annual Taste of the Valley - Russellville, Arkansas
Main Street Russellville's award-winning tasting party featuring a delicious assortment of food and drink provided by River Valley restaurants, caterers, vineyards, and food service institutions. Live musical entertainment provided throughout the evening by local musicians.

April 16, 2017 - Annual Alma Spinach Festival - Alma, Arkansas
THE YEAR WITHOUT A SPINACH FEST.  After careful consideration, we have decided to not hold a Spinach Fest in 2017.  You have told us that you want us to move the festival back downtown, and we have listened.  However, with all of the construction that will be happening on Main Street this Spring, we will not be able to put on a high quality or safe festival.  We plan to come back in 2018 to debut our new Main Street and to put on an awesome event for you.  Thank you for your understanding.

April 22, 2017  Arkansas Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival
Little Rock, Arkansas
Food Truck Festivals of America.  Our 1st Arkansas Food Truck & Craft Beer Festival featuring 25 local (and delicious) food trucks. Also enjoy some of the best regional and national craft beers.

April 16, 2016  8th Annual German Heritage Festival
Stuttgart, Arkansas
Event kicks off with a 5k fun run/walk, followed by a bratwurst cookoff, Germanic beer and wine tastings, a live polka band, children's activities, vendors and more. Race starts at 9 am. Other events begin at 10 am

April 29, 2016  Noon Program - Native Plants and Native People
Mountain View, Arkansas
Ozark Folk Center State Park.  Kathleen Connole - Native American peoples traveled through the Ozarks and hunted, fished, and farmed these mountains. Kathleen shares their stories from the perspective of the plants they gathered, grew, and loved in these deep valleys and rocky hillsides.
