Armadillo races, meat eating contest, arts & crafts, rides, pet show, antique tractor & engine show and entertainment.

Annual Strawberry Festival
Cabot, Arkansas
Cabot's very own Strawberries!! Carnival rides, festival, pageant and games for the whole family.  Our location has changed to Downtown Cabot, we will be utilizing two parking lots, with the entrance being at the corner of Main and 2nd Street. Come join us for a weekend of vendor booths, entertainment, and food trucks!

A chance to showcase the difference school nutrition professionals make for every child who comes through the cafeteria.

May 4, 2024  9th Annual Cupcakes for Goodness Sake
North Little Rock, Arkansas
We’re wranglin’ up sweet treats at CareLink’s 9th annual Cupcakes for Goodness Sake! Local bakers will be challenged to channel their inner cowgirl (or boy) and round up inspiration from the WILD WILD WEST!  Cupcake enthusiasts are invited to come on down and try them all – the good, the bad, AND the ugly (Okay, maybe only the good)! Attendees will enjoy an afternoon filled with eclectic vendors, local food trucks and themed sweets.  From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
 


 

May 4, 2024  32nd Annual South Arkansas Mayhaw Festival
El Dorado, Arkansas
The Mayhaw Festival is a street fair with craft vendors, WING DING (chicken wing cook-off), antique car show, Newton House tours, 5K Run, Mayhaw jelly, and bluegrass music. It is a great day of family fun held the first Saturday of May on the grounds of the Newton House Museum.

May 11, 2024  20th Annual Buzz B-Q - North Little Rock, Arkansas
Buzz B-Q has become THE premier BBQ event in Central Arkansas with the featured BBQ contest including Pro-Joes and Average Joes. In 2023 Buzz B-Q hosted 70 teams and over 2,000 turned out to sample and vote on the best BBQ in the area! This year a Grand Champion will be crowned in each division to see who is really King (or Queen) of the BBQ! Be sure to join in the fun!  11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Downtown Riverside R.V. Park in North Little Rock.  Attendance: 2,000+.

May 12, 2024 - MOTHERS' DAY - Nationwide
Most restaurants in the U.S. have special events scheduled for today. They are too numerous to list. (2nd Sun).

May 17-18, 2024  Annual Magnolia Blossom Festival & World Championship Steak Cook-Off - Magnolia, Arkansas
Annual Magnolia Blossom Festival and  Annual World Championship Steak Cook-Off. This will also be the Anniversary of the Sidewalk Art Show. This year’s festival is sure to be grand as there are several new events being planned along with some fantastic music acts.

May 17-18, 2024  30th Annual Picklefest - Atkins, Arkansas
From the Mr. Dill Pickle & Miss Sweet Pickle pageants to the ALWAYS popular Pickle Juice Drinking and Pickle Eating contests, there is no shortage of fun and excitement at Picklefest! Food and Craft vendors top off the festivities and there's even a Rodeo!

May 21, 2024  16th Annual Chefs in the Garden - Fayetteville, Arkansas
Held at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks, the event combines the beauty of lovely gardens with demonstrations and samplings from local chefs, music from one of the area's favorite bands, and a small silent auction.

May 30-June 8, 2024  Annual Farm Fest & Delta Smoke BBQ
Wynne, Arkansas
BBQ Contest June 7-8, 2024.  Delta Smoke BBQ Contest at FarmFest!  It has become such a success, the total purse has grown to $10,000 in prize money! The contest has 4 main categories; Beef Brisket, Pork Shoulder OR Boston Butt, Pork Ribs, and Chicken. In addition, there will also be an Anything But, Margarita, Bloody Mary, and Sauce contest.

Formerly known as the Dermott Crawfish Festival, carries the same tradition as it has the past 30 years of great arts & crafts, live music, food vendors, crawfish, t-shirts, carnival rides, street dance and more.

May 2, 2015 - Herb Spring Extravaganza & National Herb Day
Mountain View, Arkansas
'The Ozark Folk Center.  Slip away to the Ozarks for an herb filled Saturday in May to hear some old-time folk music; find food for thought, enjoy a plant sale and savor spring flavors during the Committee of 100’s Country Tea.

May 23, 2015  8th Annual Ozark Seed Swap
Mountain View, Arkansas
Co-sponsored by CAAH (Conserving Arkansas's Agricultural Heritage) at the Ozark Folk Center between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. The Ozark Seed Swap is a free event and will take place in the Administration building.  Bring open pollinated seeds to trade with other gardeners.  If you have no seeds to trade, bring envelopes or other garden and seed related items to share.  Tickets for the Craft Village will be available for folks who wish to enjoy the Herb Spring Extravaganza and National Herb Day activities.
