October 19-20, 2024  Annual Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festival
Newport, Rhode Island
Join us for our annual waterfront celebration! Honoring the "Harvest of the Sea," local restaurants and fisherman's associations serve up their most celebrated seafood, continuous live music, face painting and fun for kids of all ages all beneath the Wharf's colorful tents.  Attendance: 8,000.

October 27, 2024  Child & Family's 41st Annual Taste of Newport
Newport, Rhode Island
Taste is a celebration of the BEST Rhode Island has to offer.  Guests will enjoy a sumptuous variety of passed small plates and tempting tasting stations, presented by an array of the finest area restaurants, caterers, beverage vendors, and confectioners. Guests will enjoy an extended period of tasting, sipping, and mingling, along with the opportunity to bid on tempting silent auction offerings, all while learning about the important work of Child & Family throughout Rhode Island.

The flavors of nine coastal communities, all rolled up into 10 savory days. Newport Restaurant Week takes place annually each fall, the perfect setting for this well-seasoned event.

November 17, 2024  The Chocolate Expo - Lincoln, Rhode Island
Celebrate your passion… and celebrate life! Chocolate is one of life’s true pleasures. No matter what your age, background or interests, almost everyone loves chocolate.  The Chocolate Expo has by far become the northeast’s largest chocolate-themed event. The Chocolate Expo offers tastings & sales of chocolates, baked goods, specialty foods, gelato, cheeses and much more from local and regional vendors. Depending on location, tastings and sales of wines, beers and other “adult beverages” may also be offered.  Each Chocolate Expo event combines chocolate and food with a dash of fun such as unique exhibits, performances, demonstrations and/or celebrity appearances.

December 1-31, 2024  54th Annual Christmas in Newport
Newport, Rhode Island
The Christmas in Newport celebration boasts multiple activities for nearly each day of the December calendar. In a community collaboration, clear bulbs illuminate Newport’s scenic harbor and wharves, the restored colonial homes in the Point and Historic Hill sections, and the Victorian splendor of Bellevue Avenue. The lights are meant to recapture the candlelit holidays of bygone days. Take a Holiday Lantern Tour, buy gifts at harborside shops or the Christmas Bazaar and enjoy one of the many holiday concerts.

December 7-8, 2024  Christmas at the Castle - Wickford, Rhode Island
Experience Christmas time at Smith’s Castle (built in 1678), with the rooms adorned with decorations of fresh greens, the aroma of complimentary hot cider and cookies, live music from an earlier era filling the house from: the Brown University Madrigal Singers (A Capella Concert), St. Luke’s Jubilate Ringers (An English Hand Bell Choir), listen to Dulcimers being played and Bob Chandler playing his beautiful hurdy gurdy. Bring your camera and catch a photo of Father Christmas who will be here on Saturday and Sunday, enjoy dressing up in period garb (another photo opt), the popular Docent bake table is back, an ornament table, there will be a small group of vendors, our Gift Shop will be open, fresh wreaths and Christmas arrangements from Healey Farm. This year’s theme is “The History of the Christmas Pudding” with a demonstration of how to make this popular English dessert.

The National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) is a federal advisory committee established by the Organic Foods Production Act of 1990 and administered through AMS. The NOSB advises the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) on aspects of the organic regulations.

November 21, 2020  Armenian Food Festival and Bazaar
Providence, Rhode Island
Saints Sahag and Mesrob Armenian Church is hosting a Food Bazaar Festival located at 70 Jefferson Street, Providence R.I. 02908. Hours are between Noon and 7pm on Saturday, November 21st, 2020. Please see below to order some delicious Armenian cuisine either for pick-up or delivery on that day. All meals are prepared fresh and ready to eat. Deadline to order is November 17th. October 6, 2018 - International Oktoberfest!
East Providence, Rhode Island
Oktoberfest – our official sendoff to summer, and salute to the arrival of autumn, returns to the waterfront at its new location, Bold Point Park on the East Providence waterfront, back on Columbus Day Weekend, for one day only! November 5, 2016 - Great International Beer Festival
Providence, Rhode Island
Providence will become the Mecca for Beer Lovers all over New England. 2 shows at the Rhode Island Convention Center offer the same great experiences. Your $49 ticket, ($52 at the door) will allow you unlimited sampling of over 250 brews, conversations with brewers in a casual setting, pizza by Pizza Pier, live entertainment.  The largest Beer Festival in the Northeast is also one of the most beneficial. With proceeds benefiting Rhode Island non-profits like the RI Community Food Bank.

November 6, 2016  Chocolate Brunch - Newport, Rhode Island
The annual fundraiser for Visiting Nurse Services of Newport and Bristol Counties, Chocolate Brunch is a Sunday afternoon of great food, beach views, live music, and a holiday shopping Silent Auction.

December 11-12, 2015  A Dickens Christmas Feast
Newport , Rhode Island
Enjoy a Victorian celebration of the season in the magnificent 19th century Griswold House, presented by the Marley Bridges Theatre Company. John Jacob "Jack" Astor IV is a Scrooge. His family, friends and wife plan an "Operation Christmas" intervention. As their guests you can help restore Jack's good humor. This festive evening includes a three-course dinner.
