March 16, 2024 - Capitol Market Green Chili Shootout
Charleston, West Virginia
30-40 Chili Cooks from 6 surrounding states compete for $1000 first place prize for the best green chili. Live music, sample chili, giveaways and more.  This event is a sanctioned cook-off with the International Chili Society.

March 19, 2024 - 'AgDay' National Agriculture Day - Nationwide
A day to recognize & celebrate the abundance provided by agriculture.

April 6, 2024  16th Annual Lewisburg Chocolate Festival
Lewisburg, West Virginia
The Festival includes an exciting schedule of events centered on the chocolate theme: musical performances, chocolate themed dinners, chocolate tastings, and fun for all ages.

April 11-13, 2024  Annual West Virginia Beef Expo
Weston ?, West Virginia
The expo will include livestock shows and sales, crowning of the Beef Queen, photo exhibit, beef cook-offs and more.

April 13, 2024  Feast of the Ramson - Richwood, West Virginia
Ramp dinner, music, clogging, large craft show, and new this year, a Ramp Recipe Contest. We are the oldest Ramp festival in the State of West Virginia.  Come and join us for a day of entertainment and good eatin'.

May 11-19, 2024  82nd Annual West Virginia Strawberry Festival
Buckhannon, West Virginia
The Festival is a unique, traditional celebration to promote the strawberry harvest. Enthusiastic volunteers provide good, family style entertainment, with educational and cultural events for everyone.

May 18, 2024  Taste of Parkersburg - Parkersburg, West Virginia
Parkersburg’s Premier Wine and Food Festival!  An exciting mix of food, wine, and music to patrons of this unique and spirited festival. June 18-22, 2024  Annual West Virginia Interstate Fair
Mineral Wells, West Virginia
The fair features something for everyone!  Truck pulls, ATV races, Pretty baby and Jr. royalty pageants, Live entertainment, Livestock shows, Carnival rides, and much more!

July 4, 2024  4TH OF JULY - Nationwide
There are so many events on this day that they are too numerous to list. Virtually every community in the U.S. has a 4th of July celebration.

July 4-7, 2024  Mountain State Art & Craft Fair - Ripley, West Virginia
Mountain State Art and Craft Fair: An Appalachian Experience will take place at Cedar Lakes Conference Center near Ripley, WV.  Hours will be from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Sunday hours will be from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.  West Virginia’s oldest heritage fair, the MSACF began in 1963 as part of West Virginia’s Centennial celebration. The Fair will be an autumn celebration of art, food, music and culture. It will highlight the influences of the Celtic, Italian, Swiss, German and other cultures that made Appalachia special.  Cedar Lakes provides a beautiful backdrop for this three-day event where exhibitors will have the opportunity to demonstrate and sell their wares. Products available will include those made from wood, glass and metal, as well as one-of-a kind clothing, fine art and much more.

July 26-27, 2024  Annual Upper Ohio Valley Italian Heritage Festival
Wheeling, West Virginia
Wheeling is home to the second-largest Italian festival in the country. Food is provided by over 100 specialty vendors and visitors are treated to a celebration of anything and everything Italian in a setting complete with music and culture.

August 2-3, 2024  59th Appalachian Arts & Crafts Fair & Festival
Buckley, West Virginia
Food vendors & free concerts; Taste of Beckley; Part of the Annual Appalachian Festival which also features arts & crafts, folk music and coal mine tours.

August 8-17, 2024  State Fair of West Virginia - Fairlea, West Virginia
The State Fair began as an agricultural event and its mission statement opens with the primary goal being, “to produce a quality fair committed to the traditions of agriculture.” The importance of agriculture in daily life, society and international markets is a very important educational focus of the Fair’s programming.

August 17, 2024  Mountaineer Brewfest at Heritage Port
Wheeling, West Virginia
Mountaineer Brewfest is an Upper Ohio Valley Festival showcasing West Virginia’s diverse entries in the Craft and Microbrew market.

August 24-25, 2024  West Virginia State Honey Festival
Parkersburg, West Virginia
A festival designed to promote the bee industry with lots of crafts, great food, great entertainment, and a Kid's Zone for children.  The West Virginia State Honey Festival was founded with the purpose to educate the community on the importance of honey and the honey bee. From great food and entertainment, to our many crafters as well as our continued education about honey and the honey bee, the West Virginia State Honey Festival offers a little something for everyone.

September 6-7, 2024  54th Annual Nicholas County Potato Festival
Summersville, West Virginia
Celebrates potato farming, which is a significant part of Nicholas County's heritage. The festival is geared towards the family and provides an array of activities.

September 19-22, 2024  51st Annual Clay County Golden Delicious Festival - Clay, West Virginia
Indulge in a taste of fun in Clay, birthplace of the Golden Delicious apple, official state fruit of West Virginia.

September 26-29, 2024  82nd Preston County  Buckwheat Festival
Kingwood, West Virginia
The festival's namesake- buckwheat- is served each year as deliciously sour cakes that can be smothered in butter and syrup or applesauce. Festival highlights include livestock shows, arts & crafts, parade, music and fireworks.

September 28, 2024  Autumn Harvest Festival and Roadkill Cook-off
Marlinton, West Virginia
The West Virginia Road Kill Cook-off is one of the region’s most exciting and fun annual events. In years past, the Food Network, the Travel Channel and the Discovery Channel have all done filming of this wild and wacky festival!   Anything goes as long as the main ingredient is an animal commonly found along the road. You can taste some very unique dishes. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams chosen by our panel of celebrity judges.

October 3-6, 2024  West Virginia Pumpkin Festival
Milton, West Virginia
Started in 1985, the festival was designed to help farmers with the raising and selling of pumpkins. The festival attracts attention from throughout the region and features a variety of activities aimed at families.  Attendance: 50,000.

October 10-13, 2024  Annual West Virginia Black Walnut Festival
Spencer, West Virginia
The annual event will feature food, entertainment, car show, livestock show, carnival, and awards for the finest mature black walnut and hickory nut specimens from around the state, judged for the quality and size of their kernels.

October 17-20, 2024  45th Annual Mountain State Apple Harvest Festival - Martinsburg, West Virginia
Parade, cooking demonstration, arts & crafts, square dance, and tours of the WV University Tree Fruit Research Center. Many contests: best apple pie, artistic apple arrangements, best grower, photography, apple eating, apple peeling, and apple variety identification.

November 5-6, 2022  Charleston Mac Off - Charleston, West Virginia
This year’s Charleston Mac Off will span two full days at The Grove at Patriot’s Points. Attendees are invited to view some of the best smoking gadgets – over 25 restaurants to be exact, enjoy live music, free kid’s activities and experience several new activities in our Mac & Cheese Demo Kitchen.  Admission tickets ($10). This is a family-friendly event. Children 10 years of age and under are free.

June 12-13, 2020 - Bikes, BBQ and Bluegrass
Point Pleasant, West Virginia
Do you like riding your bike, smoking meats, eating great food or Bluegrass? If so, then Point Pleasant is the place to be for our Bikes BBQ & Bluegrass!  We will have select routes for cyclists of all levels and a backyard BBQ cook off to prove that your ribs and pulled pork are the best around.  This event is brought to you by the PPBT committee and The Point Pleasant Parks and Rec Committee. All funds raised will go to the city of Point Pleasant's parks and rec fund!

July 30-August 1, 2020  24th Annual Blackberry Festival
Nutter Fort, West Virginia
EVENT CANCELLED DUE TO CORONAVIRUS.  This great 3-day food festival has lots of wonderful blackberry dishes and other foods, arts & crafts, 5K Run, fireworks, games and lots and lots of free entertainment

April 13, 2019  PigMania Steak & Wing Festival
Parkersburg, West Virginia
Join us at Parkersburg City Park for our first annual Pro-Am Steak Cook-Off, Steak Judging class and People’s choice Wing contest.  Are you a master at cooking Rib-eye steaks? Come out and prove it to everyone at our steak, Slider & Chicken Wing cook-off.  Competitors this event is great for backyard steak cooks and Pro's alike!  FREE to attend for the public: Come out and sample wings from our competitors and vote for your favorite; Enjoy food trucks, Lemonade and other goodies, plus a whole lot more - Fun for the entire family.

January 20-22, 2017 - 33rd Annual Festival of Food & Wine
Morgantown, West Virginia
An adventure of food, wine, non-stop cooking classes, seminars, and local crafts.  The weekend will be highlighted by culinary seminars featuring cuisine from Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York City and much more. Accompanied with the culinary seminars there will be wine tastings and classes along with whiskey tasting. During the day on Saturday, shop our Artisan Marketplace featuring homemade jams and sauces, wines, jewelry, antiques and much more! Don't forget about the 6th Annual Iron Chef Competition where two seasoned chefs will have a cook off for the prized trophy!

April 29, 2017 - Ramp and Rhubarb Gourmet Dinner
Weston, West Virginia
The Riverfront Farmers Market, of Weston is having a Ramp and Rhubarb Gourmet Dinner at the WV Museum of American Glass on Main Avenue in Weston. The cost is $35 per person with the dinner created by award-winning chef Geoff Kraus of Thyme Bistro in Weston.  Reservations can be made and tickets bought at Thyme Bistro (304-269-7177), City Municipal Building (304-269-61410, or the Glass Museum (304-269-5006). The dinner begins at 7 p.m.
