WhiskyFest is the longest running whisky festival in the country. WhiskyFest offers you the opportunity to taste from a selection of more than 350 whiskies from around the world; many of them rare and exclusive. Meet the whisky makers at their booths to learn first-hand how the whiskies are made. Take some time to enjoy the never-ending gourmet buffet.
March - Annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Fry - Virginia City, Nevada
Virginia City goes nuts for St. Patrick's Day! Each year more than 7,000 people sack up in this historic town where more than 20 cooks compete in one of Northern Nevada's most popular tasting contests. These cooks serve up tasty testes all day long, competing for fame and glory as one of the best Rocky Mountain Oyster cooks in the West.
May - Annual Chili on the Comstock - Virginia City, Nevada
The two-day event hosts around 40 of the best chili cookers in the west competing for a spot in the International Chili Society (ICS) World Finals later this year. Competitors start from scratch on Saturday morning and a winner is picked for each day. There is also a people's choice award with winners receiving cash and "Virginia City-style" prizes
September - Best in the West Nugget Rib Cook-off - Sparks, Nevada
The annual event will once again transform Victorian Square in downtown Sparks into a must-attend culinary, music, craft, and family end-of-summer affair.
