March 3, 2024 - Annual Kosher Chili Cookoff - Houston, Texas
12-4pm at Beth Yeshurun Synagogue.  The Kosher Chili Cookoff is the largest kosher food event in Houston and celebrates  the fellowship of the Jewish community with a day of food, live entertainment, contests, and family friendly activities while raising funds for non-profit organizations in the Houston Jewish Community. The cookoff attracts more than 3,500 attendees annually for live music, a moonwalk, climbing walls, balloon artists, a jalapeno eating contest and a silent auction as they taste some of Houston's best kosher chili.
 


 

March 7-10, 2024  Annual Fulton Oysterfest - Fulton, Texas
Each year the Fulton Volunteer Fire Department sponsors Oysterfest, a salute to the tasty bi-valve found in our local waters. Oysterfest features carnival rides, games, food, an oyster eating contest, live music, unique vendor booths and most of all - FUN.

March 7-17, 2024  Annual Rio Grande Valley Livestock Show
Mercedes, Texas
People from all over Texas eagerly anticipate the event and come to enjoy the many activities including a parade, rodeos, competitive livestock events and the many, many attractions which are scheduled daily.  Our mission is to provide a safe and educational environment that promotes family, community and volunteerism. We strive to promote the youth of South Texas through leadership development, agricultural education, and competition with a goal of creating the leaders of tomorrow.

March 8-9, 2024 - 13th annual Wichita Falls Ranch & Farm Expo
Wichita Falls, Texas
JS Bridwell Agricultural Center. We have many exciting exhibits and activities planned this year. Visit with over 400 vendors from 27 states and Australia, in over 175,000 square feet of exhibit space and not the mention over $5000 in prizes and giveaways.

March 8-10, 2024  Annual Rattlesnake Roundup - Sweetwater, Texas
Started in 1958, the Sweetwater Jaycee's World's Largest Rattlesnake Round-Up is hosted annually in Sweetwater Texas the second weekend in March at the Nolan County Coliseum in Newman Park.

March 14-16, 2024  Annual Llano River Chuck Wagon Cook-Off
Llano, Texas
Starting in 2005, and each year since, a group of chuckwagon enthusiasts get together on the banks of the Llano River in Llano, Texas and go back in time to an era when the west was settled.These enthusiasts use traditional cooking methods from that era, wear traditional dress and experience traditional neighborly fun as they compete for prizes in a number of categories.

March 22-24, 2024  38th Annual Bluebonnet Brew-Off - Dallas, Texas
Bluebonnet Home Brew Competition and Conference!  Expect some changes, along with a brand new venue.  First of all, this is a craft beer and home brew event, so you can expect lots of both! The Big Thirsty Hospitality room will be running Saturday afternoon, giving you a change to sample a rotating selection of local commercial beers. The event also features several pub crawl bus options, along with some exciting technical speakers.  On Saturday evening, the Bluebonnet awards ceremony will reveal the winners of the largest volunteer-run homebrew competition in the country, and then area home brew teams will begin offering their wares to sample and vote on in the People’s Choice homebrew expo, our marquee event.

March 23, 2024  Texas Onion Fest - Weslaco, Texas
Celebrates the world-famous Texas 1015 Onion developed in Weslaco. There is lots of new stuff to see!  The festivities will kick off with live music on two stages and the lively "Onion Eating Contests". The fun will last all day with music performances on the Main Stage, a Kids Zone, two performances by the Dancing Horses, Arts & Crafts, cooking demonstrations at the Culinary Center, and so much more. Viva La Onion!

March 24, 2024  14th Annual Paella Challenge - San Antonio, Texas
Join fellow epicureans for a beautiful afternoon featuring distinguished Chefs from San Antonio, across the United States and Mexico, live entertainment, wines from Spain, and sangria at Mission County Park. Watch as chefs and high school teams go head-to-head in competition to create the most impressive paella dishes cooked right before your eyes.

Some of our soon to be graduating class from Rockport-Fulton High School need some financial help in achieving that college dream. We use the funds to fund scholarships from the Charles A. Evans Scholarship Foundation.

March 9-10, 2019 - Shrimp Fest - Grand Prairie, Texas
The Traders Village SHRIMP FEST Returns.  Combine choices of boiled shrimp, shrimp gumbo, or shrimp etouffee with music from the popular Cajun band “Crawfish” and you have a fun filled weekend.  Shrimp Fest will be held under the Big Red Patio next to the Family Entertainment rides and games area. The food will be served starting at 11:00 a.m. and the music starts each day at 12 noon.  Shrimp Fest has something for the whole family. After eating delicious food and enjoying the music of “Crawfish” buy an All Day Ride wristband for just $12.99 or shop in one of America’s largest flea markets.  Admission is FREE and parking is just $4.00.
