October 5, 2024 Annual Fresh Hop Ale Festival - Yakima, Washington Voted one of the top ten beer festivals in the nation, Fresh Hop Ale Festival is a celebration of the hop and craft beer industry. The Yakima Valley produces 75% of the United States' hop crop, and this festival showcases the unique beers that are produced with our valley's hops. For a beer to be considered a “fresh hop ale,” it must be produced with Yakima Valley hops that were picked no more than 24 hours prior to brewing. This is a one-of-a-kind beer festival that is only possible in the heart of hop country! Attendance: 3,500 October 5-6, 2024 42nd Annual OysterFest - Shelton, Washington Oysters, wines, microbrews, live music and so much more. OysterFest is home to the West Coast Oyster Shucking Championships and is Washington State’s official Seafood Festival. The festival also features a popular cook-off, hands-on water quality exhibits, and is itself a giant a food pavilion with nearly 100 unique items on the menu: BBQ oysters, fritters, spring rolls, garlic shrimp, fresh cider and so much more. Better yet, your culinary adventure supports about 100 local non-profit service clubs and organizations, as well as funding scholarships and local community improvement projects. Attendance: 12,000.

October 11, 2024 Cranberry Harvest Festival Cook-Off Grayland, Washington Cook-Off Entries Needed Organizers of Grayland's Annual Cranberry Harvest Festival are looking for folks to enter their best cranberry dishes in the Cook-Off Competition. There are two levels: Professional and Novice. October 11-13, 2024 Annual Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival Port Angeles, Washington New organization, new look, same CrabFest fun! Each October foodies and fun-seekers from across the United States and as far away as Finland descend upon the scenic Olympic Peninsula to partake in a grand celebration of the coveted crustacean that derives its name from the town where it was first commercially harvested back in 1848 -- Dungeness. It’s all about great food and fresh crab. Thousands of pounds of fresh Dungeness crab are pulled from local waters each year, enabling festival-goers to eat their fill while also enjoying a wide variety of locally grown and produced foods.
