The Bluegrass & Chili Festival in Historic Downtown Wagoner, Oklahoma.  FREE admission!  TWO days of music, food, shopping, and more!  Car Show, Antique Tractor Show.  No coolers, please!  Bring your lawn chairs

September 6-15, 2024  18th Annual Tulsa People’s Restaurant Week
Tulsa, Oklahoma
Benefitting the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma’s Food for Kids programs. Participating restaurants will offer special prix fixe menus with an automatic donation to the Food Bank or their standard menu with a 3% donation. Again this year, the George Kaiser Family Foundation will match donations up to $25,000.

September 12-22, 2024  Oklahoma State Fair
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Visit the Oklahoma State Fair and don't forget to catch one of the fair's popular livestock or horse shows. Enjoy exciting PRCA rodeo action on Friday and stick around for a live concert following the event. Also, enjoy the hottest musical acts performing rock, country and pop during free concerts, held nightly.  The food is famous at the Oklahoma State Fair, so stop by and feast on huge cinnamon rolls dripping with icing, or cool off with an ice-cold jug of sweet root beer. There is something for every appetite at the Oklahoma State Fair including Indian tacos, funnel cakes, gyros, corn dogs, barbecue sandwiches, roasted corn on the cob, turkey legs and slices of piping-hot pizza.  Attendance: 1,000,000.
 


 

September 14, 2024  Charlie Adams Day - Newkirk, Oklahoma
Charlie Adams Day is held in the heart of downtown Newkirk on the Courthouse Lawn from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  All of the entertainment is free. Many of the children's activities are also free of charge.  World Class Barbecue Is available with the purchase of a tasting kit.  The Heartland of the Prairies Dutch Oven Society prepare Cooking Demonstrations throughout the day And Free Dutch Oven Desserts.  There are also hot dogs and hamburgers available if barbecue is not your thing. We look forward to seeing you here.  Turtle races are on the schedule.

September 19-21, 2024  OPA!HOMA - Tulsa, Oklahoma
Greece comes to Tulsa.  We are very blessed to be building new community hall and are excited to welcome everyone for the first time in October. This Tulsa tradition whisks you away from Oklahoma and takes you on a journey to the colorful and rich culture of Greece. Let your senses take in the sights, sounds, smells, and flavors of the beautiful Greek Islands. We are so proud to be sharing our culture with the Tulsa community!

September 20-21, 2024  38th Annual Cherokee Strip Cook-Off
Ponca City, Oklahoma
A world-class barbecue competition complete with live musical entertainment, clowns, children's activities and much more. Purchase a tasting kit and enjoy mouthwatering cook-off entries submitted by professional barbecue cooks, and don't forget to vote for the People's Choice Award, given to crowd-selected favorites in barbecue and chili. Vendors, cold beer and fun for the entire family.  Come out for fun, food and a day filled with entertainment and competition held on the banks of Lake Ponca in Ponca City, this Kansas City Barbeque Society-sanctioned cook-off offers some of the tastiest barbecue around.

September 26-October 6, 2024  Tulsa State Fair - Tulsa, Oklahoma
The Tulsa State Fair is the City’s largest family event, providing educational experiences and entertainment during an 11-day span.  Annually held on the fourth Thursday after Labor Day, this historical event is based upon heritage, family values and quality entertainment for all ages.  It was first organized in 1903 as the “Tulsa County Free Fair” and developed into the Tulsa State Fair of today.  With the goal of providing and educational and entertaining experience to the community, it has over 100 years of history and continues to stand out as one of the premier fairs in the country.  Attendance: 1,200,000.

September 27-28, 2024  Threshing Bee & National 2 Cylinder Tractor Show - Fairview, Oklahoma
Major County Historical Society.  An annual celebration of pioneer farm life with demonstrations using authentic farming equipment. Gas and steam engine show, antique car and truck show, antique farm equipment show, arts and crafts, food booths, musical entertainment, children's events, museum tours and more. Attend the Sunday morning service at the old Pioneer Church.

September 15-16, 2023  Annual Valliant Watermelon Festival
Valliant, Oklahoma
Big Melon Weigh Off.  Good, old-fashioned family fun, games and live entertainment. Come to this festival and enjoy watermelon salsa and watermelon slushies. There will also be free watermelon slices while supplies last.  Watermelon Festival contests include a watermelon eating contest, seed spitting, a horseshoe tournament, weenie dog races and turtle races. Classic Car Show, Photography and Quilt Show. Food and craft vendors will offer something for everyone. A concert in the park at 8pm closes the Festival.

September 28-30, 2018  25th Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show
Tulsa, Oklahoma
The nation's great cake designers show off their skills in Tulsa.  Watch as they work meticulously to try to create the ultimate cake that will win the Grand National Wedding Cake Competition, a popular part of the show.  These artists will create romantic, elaborate and detailed wedding cakes that are true works of art.  The ultimate inspiration for consumers to create the cake of their dreams.  Experienced celebrity presenters will also be on hand at this renowned event that has been featured on the Food Network.  The Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show is a cake artists showcase and not to be missed.

September 26, 2015  22nd Annual Hook-N-Cook Off
Monkey Island, Oklahoma
This event has been one of the largest catfish Cookoff events in the region and not only will there be a great catfish Cookoff competition, but there will also be a Cookoff for Cole slaw and Hushpuppies.  There will also be a Car Show, Arts and Crafts of all kinds and the Musical Entertainment.
