At dinnertime when there's a salad to prepare
Be sure to wash it well, especially the lettuce.
It may look crispy clean but you should be aware
It's home to lots of mean bacteria who are out to get us.
You may believe there isn't any need to worry
Because you know that germs are very little fellas.
But they can make you change your feelings in a hurry
If they're related to bacteria like E. coli or the salmonellas.
