Have you ever eaten a Scottish scone?
It's served with tea and is hard as stone.
If your bite succeeds it tastes like biscuit,
But I need my teeth so I won't risk it.
An apple that's baked with a worm in its core
May have one side done and the other side raw.
It's best to half bake it, then shake it, I've learned,
And finish the baking when the worm has turned.
Slurp of Soup
The slurp of soup sounds like a word.
Sloosh, thlumff, and floop are some I've heard.
To those whose ears are tuned for pitch
It might be zwoof or even pflitch.
